Origins of Holocaust Denial
before Nazis came to power in Germany in 1933, ant-Semitism was still on the rise in Germany, and as Germany grew while under Nazi power so did anti-Semitism. Even right after the war when the holocaust was without a doubt real, many Americans refused to believe that such a thing ever happened, mainly because they think its part of a grand Jewish scheme, they are, today, called "Deniers/Revisionists". There are still the few who are guided solely by logic, and still believe the holocaust didn't happen. These people have poor logic skills and have been led to believe these things for many reasons, especially the way the Nazis covered their tracks while killing the Jews. While performing the holocaust Nazis only used verbal orders, when they were about the killing of Jews, they made up their plan for killing the Jews as they went along, destroyed, and/or hid the few documents they did create considering they weren’t suppose to make any at all, used codenames i.e. "action"= violent force against Jews, "resettlement to the east"= forced bring to Poland of Jew, and "special treatment"= killing of Jews, they used these codenames in very public speeches to the public so that they could relay messages of what they want to happen from High ranking official to high ranking official while assuring the German Public that the jews would be taken care of, and diguising there intent from the "Allies", and jewish resistance that may gain more followers from the news of the concentration camps. Even though they wanted to get rid of the jews there were still some nazis who did not like there systematic murder, and to those these code words were heinous. Similarily to using the codewords, nazis sent the wrong info to allies, and jewsish resistance by Allowing the International Red-Cross

to inspect a fake jewsish ghetoo which was made out to be very good by torturing the prisoners into acting happy

Another way people were kept in the dark about the concentration camps was the extermination of the bodies, or "operatin Aktion", which was a plan to make jews cremate there own bodies.

Holocaust Denial In Literature
The first denier to take his views, and put them in literature is Arthur Butz, who wrote the fairly good selling book "Hoax of the 20th century", and since then there have been many more writings chronicling "why the holocaust never happened", even an entire publisher that has become closely related with denier literature, Samisdat Publisher. One man, Ernst Zundel even dares to say how Germany came to love Hitler, and why they still should in "The Hitler we loved, and why.” he says how the killing of Jews was not the original Nazi agenda, and how it is very exaggerated. Just like writer Davis Irving, who says what "The Hitler we loved, and why." says, but that Hitler did not know about the concentration camps, and that most "survivors" are fake, and publicize themselves for the money. Some literature Originations that once had a say in historical debates have lost all credibility like the "Institute for Historical Review", by supporting, even slightly, revisionist viewpoints on the holocaust. Today though the biggest reason people become revisionists is the internet, which helps other revisionists spread their ideas easier, and more efficiently.
