Josef Mengle was a SS doctor, who is known for doing inhumane procedures on prisoners at Auschwitz. He was born on March 16, 1911. through his life he had many school achivments, in 1935 he earned a PH.D in Physical Anthropology. In January, 1937 Mengle was appointed aprentence of Dr. Otmar Von Verschuer, who was known for his work with twins. 1937 Josef Mengle joined the nazi party, the next year he became a party of the SS. June 1940 Mengle joined the army and voulentereed into the medical feild. Eventually Mengle became a SS captin and was transfered to Auschwitz May 30, 1943.
